Project Role : Custom Software Engineer Project Role Description : Develop custom software solutions to design, code, and enhance components across systems or applications. Must have skills : SAP BTP Integration Suite Good to have skills : NA Minimum 12 year(s) of experience is required Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education Summary: Manage Cloud Integration design and delivery workstreams, build evidence-based remediation plans and lead teams through controlled recovery. Roles & Responsibilities: a) Manage interface requirements, integration patterns, iFlow designs, mappings, scripts, adapters, endpoints, security and dependencies. b) Lead development and review of reusable iFlows using routing, transformation, enrichment, split, aggregation, persistence and exception patterns. c) Assure REST, SOAP, OData, IDoc, RFC, SFTP, HTTP, JMS and other approved connectivity and payload standards. d) Maintain RAG ratings, design decisions, defects, risks, dependencies and remediation backlogs with owners and acceptance criteria. e) Plan unit, SIT, performance, regression and cutover validation with production-representative messages and operational evidence. f) Facilitate client and SI workshops, coach developers, assure deliverables and escalate critical interface risks. Professional & Technical Skills: a) Must To Have Skills: SAP BTP Integration Suite, Cloud Integration, enterprise integration patterns, iFlow design, message mapping, security, monitoring, testing and SAP S/4HANA integration. b) Good to have Skills: API Management, Event Mesh or Advanced Event Mesh, Integration Advisor, Trading Partner Management, Open Connectors, Edge Integration Cell, SAP Cloud ALM and PI/PO migration. c) Experience with REST, SOAP, OData, IDoc, RFC, SFTP, HTTP, JMS, XML, JSON, CSV, XSLT, Groovy scripting, certificates, OAuth 2.0 and mTLS. d) Experience with reusable integration standards, version control, transport or CI/CD, non-functional testing, operational monitoring, incident management and audit evidence. e) Demonstrated experience in distressed integration diagnostics, stabilization, turnaround planning, remediation governance and recovery execution, with evidence of improving interface reliability, defect containment, operational stability, cutover readiness or stakeholder confidence. AI and Digital Expectations: a) Use SAP Generative AI, Joule, Microsoft Copilot and other approved AI tools to analyse integration designs, mappings, scripts, logs, defects, test evidence, RAID records and operational data identify patterns, dependencies, inconsistencies and anomalies. b) Apply human validation, confidentiality, security, bias awareness, traceability and compliance with client and organisational policies to all AI-assisted outputs.
