Project Role : Custom Software Engineer Project Role Description : Develop custom software solutions to design, code, and enhance components across systems or applications. Use modern frameworks and agile practices to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions tailored to specific business needs. Must have skills : SAP BTP Application Development Good to have skills : NA Minimum 12 year(s) of experience is required Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education Summary: Manage SAP BTP application-development diagnostic and delivery workstreams, build remediation plans, and lead teams through controlled recovery. Roles & Responsibilities: Manage diagnostics and remediation across CAP services, CDS models, HANA Cloud artifacts, UI5/Fiori applications, OData or REST APIs, Cloud Foundry deployments and BTP connectivity. Review solution designs for clean core, scalability, performance, security, maintainability, resilience and appropriate use of SAP BTP services. Maintain evidence-based RAG ratings, architecture decisions, risks, dependencies and prioritized remediation backlogs with owners and acceptance criteria. Lead developers through CAP event handlers, service integration, HDI containers, MTA packaging, destinations, authentication, authorization, testing and deployment fixes. Facilitate client and SI workshops, assure code and test deliverables, prepare steering materials and escalate material risks with evidence. Support re-baselining, phased delivery, production stabilization, knowledge transfer and operational-readiness improvements. Professional & Technical Skills: Must To Have Skills: SAP BTP application development, SAP Cloud Application Programming Model, SAP HANA Cloud, Cloud Foundry, CDS, Node.js or Java, OData or REST services, SAPUI5/Fiori and clean-core extensions. Good to have Skills: SAP Build Code, SAP Business Application Studio, SAP Build Apps, Kyma, SAP Integration Suite, SAP Cloud ALM, SAP Continuous Integration and Delivery, and Transport Management Service. Experience with HDI containers, MTA deployment, approuter, destinations, service bindings, XSUAA, OAuth, SAML/OIDC, SAP Cloud Identity Services, Cloud Connector and role collections. Experience with Git, automated testing, API design, observability, secure coding, performance engineering, CI/CD and production support. Demonstrated experience in distressed programme or workstream diagnostics, stabilization, turnaround planning, remediation governance and recovery execution, with evidence of improving delivery confidence, data or application quality, performance, operational stability or go-live readiness. AI and Digital Expectations: Use SAP Generative AI, Joule, Microsoft Copilot and other approved AI tools to analyse programme documents, technical artefacts, code or data models, tests, incidents, RAID logs and delivery data identify patterns, dependencies, inconsistencies and improvement opportunities.
