Platform Software Engineer (Networking Systems) Architect and build the system software behind high-performance ethernet switching networking platforms by owning design decisions end-to-end, optimizing for reliability and performance, and delivering capabilities that run at scale in real-world mission critical deployments. What you’ll do: Responsibilities: Drive system design and implementation for platform software across core networking subsystems, including: Chassis/line-card platform services, Ethernet interfaces, optics, and the underlying system infrastructure that ties hardware and software together Own architecture and end-to-end delivery within JunOS or Junos Evolved - define interfaces between hardware and software and between various software components, evaluate design trade-offs, implement, and integrate across the networking software stack. Partner with system and solution test teams to set quality bars and build performance and reliability requirements, feedback to strong test strategy, and shorten debug/triage cycles.
