Senior ServiceNow Developer

What success looks like in this role: Break down functional and business requirements into tangible, clear, and estimable technical solutions, providing recommendations to management and project stakeholders. Design, develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow applications and modules leveraging platform best practices and out-of-the-box capabilities wherever possible. Develop scalable and maintainable solutions across ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, IRM, CMDB, Employee Center, Integrations, and custom applications as required. Design and implement integrations using Integration Hub, REST/SOAP APIs, MID Servers, Flow Designer, and third-party platforms. Write and maintain automated tests to improve code quality, regression coverage, and platform stability. Ensure quality, security, performance, and adherence to ServiceNow development standards, architectural principles, and governance requirements. Perform technical design reviews, code reviews, and solution validations to ensure compliance with established development and architecture standards. Collaborate with architects, business analysts, testers, product owners, and platform teams to deliver end-to-end solutions aligned to business objectives. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, identifying root causes and implementing sustainable long-term solutions. Lead technical investigations, proof-of-concepts, platform modernization activities, and continuous improvement initiatives. Support platform upgrades, patching activities, release management, and post-deployment validation activities. Contribute to CMDB, CSDM, Platform Analytics, AI, Virtual Agent, and automation initiatives as part of the broader ServiceNow roadmap. Create and maintain technical documentation, including solution designs, integration specifications, support procedures, and knowledge articles. Mentor junior developers and team members, promoting development standards, best practices, and knowledge sharing across the team. Proactively identify delivery risks, scope changes, technical debt, and operational challenges, communicating variances and mitigation plans to management and project teams. Ensure all solutions are designed with scalability, supportability, security, and long-term platform sustainability in mind.
