Job Description: Team Charter:  Be part of a team, which is shaping Juniper's vision of next generation cloud converged metro and edge routing products and solutions. You will be part of a highly energetic team responsible for designing and developing Platform & System software for Juniper cloud ready routing products and will go through end-to-end life cycle of the products. These best-in-class networking products run on state-of-the-art distributed Junos Evolved Network Operating system with emphasis on high performance, high scalability, fault tolerance and high availability of these products.  What you'll do: Leads multiple project teams of other software systems engineers and internal and outsourced development partners responsible for all stages of design and development for complex products and platforms, including solution design, analysis, coding, testing, and integration. Manages and expands relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on software systems design and development. Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with systems design and development guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality and mitigate failure risk. Provides domain-specific expertise and overall software systems leadership and perspective to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities. Drives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the software systems design organization. Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members. What you need to bring:  Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent. Typically 14+ years experience. Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills is key. Strong in C, C++ programming fundamentals. OO analysis & design and experience in distributed systems will be a big plus. Proficient in working close to hardware - device drivers, system bring up, Linux/OS fundamentals. Proficient in troubleshooting and debugging complex issues
