Job Description: What You Will Do: HPE Networking is seeking a Solution Test & Automation Engineer to support quality engineering for networking and distributed software solutions. This Individual Contributor role applies developed technical expertise to validate products, resolve complex testing challenges, and improve customer outcomes. The role combines software testing, automation, system-level debugging, and collaboration with engineering teams to deliver reliable and high-quality solutions. You will partner with engineering, product management, services, support teams, and customers to validate networking solutions, improve quality engineering practices, and enhance product quality. In addition to technical execution, you may lead project activities and provide guidance to less experienced engineers. Success in this role requires application of developed subject matter expertise, effective problem solving, delivery of quality improvements, collaboration with project teams, and contributions that advance customer outcomes and business objectives. Solution Validation & Customer Engagement Understand customer deployments, business requirements, architectures, and large-scale operational environments to develop comprehensive validation strategies. Support and execute validation efforts for customer solutions and networking deployments. Collaborate with customers, field engineers, solution architects, sales engineers, and services teams to validate real-world networking solutions and operational readiness. Participate in technical design discussions and reviews to improve reliability, scalability, and serviceability. Translate customer requirements into repeatable validation approaches. Present technical findings, risk assessments, and quality recommendations to stakeholders. Participate in cross-functional initiatives that improve customer outcomes and product quality. Automation & Quality Engineering Develop and enhance automation solutions supporting testing and validation activities. Develop and maintain automation frameworks supporting functional, integration, system, and performance validation.
