What You'll Do (When You Join Us) As a Platform Engineer, you'll design, build, and operate the platforms, tooling, and automation capabilities that power modern software delivery across the organisation. Build & Evolve Platforms Design and develop scalable, self-service platform capabilities that improve developer productivity and accelerate software delivery. Build and maintain cloud-native platform solutions leveraging containerisation, orchestration, infrastructure automation, and platform services. Create reusable engineering standards, frameworks, and deployment patterns that enable consistency across teams. Automate & Optimise Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using modern automation tools and practices. Establish and enhance CI/CD pipelines to streamline build, test, release, and deployment processes. Improve platform reliability, scalability, security, and operational efficiency through automation and observability. Drive standardisation through platform engineering best practices, policy automation, and governance frameworks. Enable Engineering Excellence Partner with Software Engineers, Architects, SREs, Security teams, and Product teams to build reliable engineering platforms. Improve developer experience through self-service tools, internal developer platforms, and engineering productivity initiatives. Participate in platform design reviews, architecture discussions, incident reviews, and continuous improvement activities. Operate & Support Monitor platform health, availability, and performance across cloud and on-premises environments. Contribute to operational excellence through logging, monitoring, alerting, capacity planning, and resilience engineering practices. Support incident management, root cause analysis, and service reliability initiatives. Mentor & Share Guide engineers on platform capabilities, automation practices, cloud adoption, and DevOps methodologies.
